lamb meatballs
delicately flavoured lamb meatballs best served with sauteed white button mushrooms and red onions.

- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt
- pinch of pepper
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp rosemary
- 2 tsp fresh minced garlic
- 2 tsp toasted sesame seed oil
mix all the ingredients together well in a large bowl.
form the ground meat into little balls, slightly larger than a tablespoon in size - I made 22 meatballs approximately.
place them on a parchment paper-lined baking tray.bake at 425 for 20-25 mins, until done.
optional: scoop up the drippings that pool around each meatball from the baking tray, and place the drippings in a hot cast iron skillet. sauté diced mushrooms and onions in it, to serve alongside the meatballs.
